About Us
As a member of the Southampton Business & Professional
Association you have an opportunity to meet business people
and to network on a local basis. The Monthly Luncheon Meetings
are held at 11:45 am the 4th Tuesday of each month at
the Davisville Church, Southampton PA. We have interesting
speakers on a variety of topics; some are educational, some
are fun, all are enlightening.
Formed in 1953 and incorporated in 1954 as the Southampton
Business Men's Association, the purpose of the Association
was "to promote the growth, progress and betterment of
our community and for the mutual help of our members".
There were originally 87 Charter members. Through the years,
the Southampton Business and Professional Association has
been a leader in providing projects and programs to benefit
the community. It sponsored the arrival of Santa during the
sixties and spearheaded the drive to install Holiday Lights
for the business district during the winter holidays. This
is a commitment it stills supports today.
The association maintains the Veteran's
Memorial on the southeast corner of Second Street Pike
and Street Road.
The Association sponsored Southampton's Ball in 1976 honoring
the nation's Bicentennial anniversary and the Township's Tricentennial
Ball in 1985, commemorating Southampton's 300th birthday.
The Southampton Business and Professional Association invites
business or professional people living or working in Upper
Southampton or the adjacent communities to join and help us
help Southampton to continue to be "a nice place to live".
